京都工芸繊維大学繊維科学センターと（地独）京都市産業技術研究所とは，「研究等連携に関する覚書（平成22年9月3日締結・平成２７年４月１日再締結）」第２条に基づく技術交流及び研究交流により，毎年研究発表会を開催してまいりました。 令和3年度から、今までの企画内容を一新し、京都が持つ「知」と「技」を活用して、京都工芸繊維大学繊維科学センター及び（地独）京都市産業技術研究所が、地域社会や地場企業と連携することにより、持続可能な繊維科学の発展に貢献するための新たな価値創造に関わる内容として、より身近に、より多くの皆様方に参加していただけるような講演会として企画いたしました。

繊維産業は、石油を原料とする化学物質の使用、さらには農業、製造業、輸送業を利用していることで、世界の温室効果ガスの排出量の約10％を占めています。このエネルギー消費量は、世界の航空関連産業よりも多く、現状では、繊維産業は、環境負荷の高い産業であることが明らかになっている状況にあります。そのため、繊維産業のイノベーションを考える上で環境対応を考えざるを得ない状況であると思われます。 このような状況を鑑みて、第８回大阪地区講演会では、環境対応を考えた繊維技術のイノベーションについて考える講演会といたしました。本学のメンバーによる研究成果の紹介に加えて、繊維製品のサーキュラーエコノミーについての特別講演、イノベーションに関する講演を企画いたしました。皆様の積極的なご参加をお待ちしております。

In collaboration with the KIT and Shinshu University, we have opened an educational lecture for social members on "Sustainable Management Technology for textiles". this program is about the future of sustainable textiles from the perspective of internationalization of management and technology. The goal is to acquire a systematic knowledge of sustainable textile manufacturing and to be able to design new sustainable textiles.

総合テーマをもとに、各大学の学生が、廃棄予定の繊維材料から衣服、服飾雑貨、インテリア作品など、アップサイクルしたライフスタイル商品を自ら制作し、ファッションショー（Part1）を行うとともに展示販売（Part2）を行います。そして同時に、学生主導によるワークショップ、ゲスト講演者と学生によるSDGs関連トークショーなども行います。これらの活動を通じて、これからの時代を担う大学生が繊維製品の廃棄から生まれる環境負荷について自分ごととして考える機会にし、さらには来場者とともに“つくる責任、つかう責任”を共有できればと思います。

Utilizing Kyoto's "knowledge" and "skills", the Center for Fiber and Textile Science and the Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Technology and Culture collaborate with local communities and companies to develop sustainable textile science. This Lecture has content related to new values and more people can participate in more familiar.

The Center for Fiber and Textile Science held a "Lecture on the Future Environment -Research on Recycling Social Systems and the Formation of a Sustainable Society-". This lecture is held every year for the purpose of widely informing the activities of the center to society.

The Center for Fiber and Textile Science held the "Fiber and Textile Science Seminar 2022" online on August 5, 2022.
